How to make slime with borax

If you would like colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring to the glue and water mixture and stir. Combine 1/2 cup water and borax, then slowly add to the glue mixture, stirring as you go. You do not need to use all of the solution, just until it starts to thicken. Eventually it will either get too thick to stir, or need a little more borax water mixed in. Once no more water will mix into it (the perfect slime recipe!), take it out of the cup and start kneading it with your hands. Add about a teaspoon of the borax and water mixture into the glue/shaving cream bowl and stir.

Add ¼ cup of Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) Solution to the glue and water mixture and stir slowly. If you want colored slime, add food coloring to the glue and water mixture. Mix up these three ingredients and a little food coloring of your choice, and start playing with fluffy slime.

In light of recent explosion of interest in easy slime recipes, and also a couple of worrying articles suggesting children are getting hurt from making slime, I thought it would be good to bring together some no borax slime recipes and no laundry detergent slime recipes and no contact solution slime recipes - i.e. let's stay away from the chemical slime recipes and use safe slime recipe ingredients! 5.) Add the water and Borax mixture to the glue and water mixture until you are satisfied with the slime consistency. Slowly add the water and Borax mixture to the glue mixture stirring constantly. Next add food coloring to your water and glue mixture and mix it well.
