In light of recent explosion of interest in easy slime recipes, and also a couple of worrying articles suggesting children are getting hurt from making slime, I thought it would be good to bring together some no borax slime recipes and no laundry detergent slime recipes and no contact solution slime recipes - i.e. let's stay away from the chemical slime recipes and use safe slime recipe ingredients! Traditionally (can you call a homemade slime recipe traditional?), homemade slime is made by mixing Borax with liquid glue, food coloring, and water.
Pour the whole bottle of gule in another bowl and add 1/2 cup water then add 8 drops of food coloring and stir then pour in borax mixture into colored mixture and mix till it clumps all together and pour out water in sink and mix till it does not stick to your hands. My daughter's slime recipe does not use detergent anymore; she uses glue, shaving cream, borax, food coloring, glitter and non-toxic paint.
